I always try to capture what’s true.  Even though I may prompt a little, lead a little, and draw out a little bit, I never know what a child or family will give.  Sometimes it’s a lot of silliness and playfulness, sometimes it’s more serious and thoughtful, and other times a special, tender relationship shines through.

I am loving my annual visits with this brother and sister pair.  Indeed, they share a special bond, and even our short mini session revealed that with such a minimum of prompting.  There is nothing better than knowing that I captured a hint of their care and love for each other.

I love it when moms are willing to jump in for photos.  Sometimes it takes getting a little dirty, a little out of breath, and a lot of silly, but the results are priceless.  There is nothing better for me than the opportunity to capture the love between a mom and her son or daughter.  It’s magical.
